This preview benefit creates a channel in your Slack workspace and shares it into the customer’s workspace through Slack Connect. Paid plans can configure it.

What the customer sees

The customer supplies an administrator email for their Slack workspace. Ruba creates the channel, adds your configured teammates, posts the welcome message, and sends the Slack Connect invitation. After the administrator accepts, the channel appears in both workspaces. Revocation can archive it automatically.

Configure the connection

Create a Shared Slack Channel from Products → Benefits. The first configuration connects the Slack workspace; later benefits may reuse it.

Define channel identity

The channel-name template accepts:
  • {customer_name};
  • {customer_email_local}, the portion before @; and
  • {metadata.<key>} from customer metadata.
For example, support-{customer_email_local} becomes support-jane for jane@acme.com.

Choose channel behavior

Private channels and archive-on-revoke are enabled by default. You may also set a welcome message and select workspace members who should join every new channel.
