Ruba’s public rate has no monthly platform charge. Forecast costs in four layers: the successful transaction, any card or recurring adjustment, exceptional payment events, and the eventual payout.

Start with the successful transaction

The base Ruba fee is 6% + $0.50 for each successful transaction. The dashboard shows the fee before funds enter your available balance. Two adjustments can apply:
  • International card: add 1.5%.
  • Subscription payment: add 0.5%.
Processor or card-network charges introduced in the future may be passed through when the applicable terms allow it.

Check the amount with a worked example

A 30productsoldtoaSwedishconsumerwith2530 product sold to a Swedish consumer with 25% VAT produces a 37.50 customer total. The fee layers are: The combined fee is 3.31foraonetimeinternationalcardpaymentor3.31** for a one-time international-card payment or **3.50 when that payment is recurring. Rounding occurs in the transaction currency.

Account for refunds and disputes

Full and partial refunds are supported, but the original transaction fee remains because the processor and card-network costs are not reversed. Ruba may issue a refund within 60 days when doing so is necessary to prevent a likely dispute. A dispute costs $15 whether the merchant wins or loses. The fee is deducted from the Ruba balance. Ruba monitors chargeback levels because card networks can impose monitoring and penalties around a 0.7% or higher rate; an organization may be suspended when risk cannot be reduced promptly. Forecast withdrawal costs

Ruba adds no payout markup. The current Stripe payout charges are:
  • $2 for each month with active payouts
  • 0.25% + $0.25 for each payout
  • Cross-border currency conversion, approximately 0.25% in the EU and up to 1% elsewhere
Withdrawals are normally initiated manually. Ruba may eventually initiate one when a balance has remained unwithdrawn for several months. For negotiated volume terms or a pricing question, contact Ruba. Your signed agreement controls if it differs from this public summary.
